Firstly the service from Riders Discount is awesome. I bought the helmet on 1 Dec and they arrived on 9 Dec in New Zealand! For almost the other side of the world I'm impressed, top marks to all the guys at RD. Secondly the helmet itself, you need to try on the helemet you're going to buy before you order it over the internet. They are so individual you can't go on just looks or what your friends say. In saying that the Suomy Vandal for me is fantastic! The first helmet I've ever put on my head and had it feel extremely comfortable and just right (you'll know when a helmet sits on your head and does everything you want it to do and be - great feeling). Quickly: - Graphics: much cooler in real life - Fogging: hot humid day sitting at the lights, even trying to get it to fog up and still nothing! - Venting: 5 vents to play with, superb One thing that is always talked about with Suomy helmets is that the wind noise is quite loud. I would totally agree with this. Up to about 100km/h (60mph) its very quiet, I can hardly hear my bikes noise compared to my old helmet. Above that speed the wind noise can get a bit much to handle. Ear plugs or wearing a thin balaclava solves the problem though. Apart from this minor point, the confidence that I get from my helmet feeling so comfortable is incredible.
