Just like the standard Tech 3 from Alpinestars the Tech AT (all terrain) boot gives a new meaning to entry level. This boot is the hard-soled version of the Tech 3 for the ATV and enduro riders that need the extra grip and traction from a standard steel-shanked sole. Even though it is an entry level, both the contoured upper PU protector gets the job done when it comes to shin protection. I bought the Tech 3 All-Terrain boots as they are way cheaper than other Alpinestar boots. . I have found they give a heap of protection and grip with the sole pattern. I have even kicked over some small trees whilst riding single tracks to make some room to get through with no twisting of my ankles and no bruised shins!! . I have hosed the boots after every ride and no signs of wear have appeared. I have had to take off the steel cap and restraighten a couple of times, but not of concern as replacements are available when the time comes. . For a relatively cheap pair of off-road boots, I don't think you could find any better than these.

I have had these boots for a year and what I can say it's a nice looking boot with excellent protection and very confortable, on the other hand, BE AWARE, nowhere says it's WATERPROOF! ... I got a tiny splash and I get wet on my feet... that's not very pleasent when you are on a long enduro ride for a few days... that's pretty nasty from alpinestars...
