This boot has all the great features. The venting keeps the feet cool and comfortable. The boot is not quite a race boot because it is a little more flexible than others. It serves its purpose for the street warrior and the trackday rider. The toe sliders are replaceable and stay put without popping off when they hit the apex of the local track. The SMX-5 ventilated version takes all of the great features from the standard and adds a more than generous amount of perforation to keep things cool. The SMX-R is stiffer, while the SMX-5 boot is made with the incorporation of comfort and flexibility. As with the standard model, all of the PU protection of the heel, toe and shin areas are there along with the comfort from a microfiber upper.
