Description
SPI continues to offer the best in aftermarket performance brake pads. When looking for brake pads, a big thing to remember is the coefficient of friction rating for that pad. This is a 2 letter rating system.
The first letter is the cold temp coeffiecient rating and the second letter is the hot temp coefficient. The higher the letters, the higher the coefficient of friction.
SPI Semi-Metalic brake pads and shoes are composed of a non-asbestos, semi metalic carbon aramid fiber from Dupont and have a DOT rating of "FF".
Our Full-Metal pads contain copper, carbon, tin, lead and other metalic elements and have a DOT rating of "FG".
